4th of July and the Demolition Derby

The 4th of July was a great day. I tried to make some festive cookies, but instead they turned out looking like Christmas cookies. At least they were still tasty. 

Rusty had a super long day and worked from 6 A.M. to after midnight on the 4th. The night before he worked late too because he was helping at the parade. He worked at Riverton Town Days. He got to empty a lot of trashes! But we benefited from him working all day. That evening they had a dinner for the city employees and their families. My parents and I went over to the park for a delicious meal. He also was able to save a spot in the family section so we had a wonderful view of the firework show that night.

 

 I am now 24 weeks along.

 Rusty's cool cart that he got to drive around. He even took me on a ride.

Saturday night Rusty had free tickets to the Demolition Derby. My family went, and Charlie, Charity, and Logan came up to enjoy the show with us. It was a really good time watching all the cars smash each other, and ended up being 4 hours long!

 

 Rusty was able to watch a little of the show with us, but most of the time he was working. He was there until nearly 1 A.M.

This 4th of July we all benefited from Rusty's job. But he sure is glad that he doesn't have to work any more really long days!
