Temple Square Lights

On Saturday the 29th we went up to Temple Square with Rusty's family to go see the Christmas lights. It was pretty chilly, but had an excellent time. Rusty wore the backpack carrier, and Claire slept in it the entire time. It was fun to spend time all together!

Christmas

This year we had a great Christmas. This is Claire on Christmas Sunday. She got this cute dress from my Aunt Charity.
Claire got an early Christmas present from my parents. She loves her polar bear outfit. It keeps her nice and warm when we got outside. We've already used it quite a bit.
On Christmas Eve morning we went out to breakfast at the Midvale Mining  Company with my family. That evening we went down to my grandpa's house, like we do every year. We had delicious Mexican food. Then we had our white elephant gift exchange.
Logan got these awesome red long johns.
Rusty, me, my mom, and Claire.
Chris, Kristen, Heidi, Nate, and Seth
Natalie, Charity, and Cara
Matt and Liz's boys won goldfish. It was the funniest present of the night.
I won a head massager. We had a good time trying it out.
Grandpa got this fun hat and face cover from the Judy family
On Christmas morning we opened gifts with my family and had breakfast all together. It was very tasty. Then we headed back down to Payson to see Rusty's family. We had lunch and hung out down there. It was a lot of fun because Rusty's sister Rachel and her two boys came for the holidays from Arizona. We had a wonderful day.
Claire got this fun panda bear hat from my mom.
I got to see some of my high school friends when we went out to dinner at the Training Table two days after Christmas.
me, Kaylie, Chel, Molly, Angela, and Jessica

Two days after that I went to lunch at the Cheesecake Factory with my old Snow roommates. The lucky husbands were even invited to that event. It was fun to see everyone!

Claire Turns 2 Months

Claire had her two month birthday today.  She went to the doctor on Tuesday and had to get three shots in her legs.  She cried pretty hard when she got them but calmed down pretty fast.  After we went back home she slept for a while, but when she woke up she was really sad.  She was crying really hard.  Luckily we got some baby Tylenol for her, and she felt much better the next day.  Here are her two month stats:
Weight: 9 lbs. 9 oz (10th percentile)
Height: 22.5 inches (50th percentile)
Head: 14.5 inches (3rd percentile)
She is starting to fit into most of her 3 month clothes and still has a lot of hair.  In the back it looks a little thinner in a small spot, but she has enough of it everywhere else that it isn't too noticeable.

The Christmas Sing-Along

Monday night we went to the Christmas Sing-Along at the Energy Solutions Arena.  It was a great time, and we got to sing a lot of songs.  The highlight was probably when LaVell Edwards and Ron McBride read the Night Before Christmas.  Claire got an early Christmas present from my mom because it was cold that night. She got a fun little polar bear outfit.  She sure is cute in it, but she can't move her arms very much.

The Incredible Sweater

Kristen was invited to an ugly sweater party. She was feeling ambitious, so she and our friend Leslie decided to make a sweater for the party using felt, ribbon, lace, and glitter. I assisted a little by gluing and sprinkling glitter. The finished product ended up being being better than we ever could have hoped for. It's hard to tell in the picture, but her sleeves say "Feliz Navidad" in glitter.

Kristen's Birthday

For Kristen's birthday, which was December 4th, we celebrated the night before by going out to eat at the Cracker Barrel. It was delicious, and I ate too much. We had a great time and got to enjoy our favorite part of that place, browsing the gift shop.

Claire's Baby Blessing

This past Sunday, December 2nd, Rusty blessed Claire. We had a lot of people come and support us.
Renae and Grandma
Cara, Chris, and Grandpa
Tuna, Rusty, and Dallen
Rusty's parents
Kristen, my mom, and dad
Jenn and Aaron
Malia and Claire
Boston and Claire
Claire wore the blessing dress that my sisters and I wore. It came with this bonnet. She looks like a pioneer baby when she has it on. She wore a headband instead for the blessing.
She was a little angry when we were taking some pictures.
Claire likes to have staring contests. She's very good at them.
The proud grandparents
The Aunties

Rusty's brother Jon, his wife Crystal, and their kids Katlyn and Breckin came. His sister Danielle and her husband Jon were at the blessing also, but they left before I remembered to take any pictures. My Grandpa Wilson came, but he snuck out after church. Rusty's friend Kenny and his wife came to church to see the blessing. We're so happy everyone could be there.
