Spring Is Here

I thought it was time I added something to this blog. The past few months have been full of fun. It's especially nice now that the weather has warmed up. Claire wants to be outside as often as possible. Here is what we've been up to lately.

Claire likes to play in the little cupboard by the kitchen sink. I don't put any dishes in there because she often crawls in there. 

We had a party for the Opening Ceremonies in Sochi. We were very creative and made some Russian food. Some of it actually was tasty, while other items were rather interesting.

Kristen got a lot of nice decorations for the party. She even made an Olympic torch.

Claire and Makenna wore their matching outfits that my mom got them.

We were happy that the Burgers came to the party!

Leslie and baby Mya also joined us.

Claire loves to vacuum.

Back in the middle of February Claire was spinning in the kitchen and hit the corner of the cabinet when she fell over. You can still see a little red line where the cut was, but we're hoping it keeps getting lighter and won't scar. At night she likes to go to bed with all her animals.

Sometimes Claire tries to dress herself. She hasn't quite figured out where each clothing item goes.

We celebrated Cara's birthday, which is March 2nd, by eating at Training Table and playing games after. She and Kristen matched, and it wasn't even on purpose.

Claire now likes to feed herself. She gets really mad if we try and help her. She actually is getting pretty good at eating some foods, but she always makes a big mess.

Anytime Rusty's guitars are out Claire tries to pick at the strings. She likes it when they strum and make noises.

Claire and Rusty do pull ups together.

The Palmers got chickens a few weeks ago. Sometimes the chickens look in the window at us, and when we're outside Claire wanders around with them.

We helped Cara and Chris take down their huge Willow tree in their backyard. It was a fun project. Chris got to ride up in a lift to cut the branches.

Kristen and I took Makenna and Claire on a walk while they cut some of the branches down.

Kristen and Claire were both a little sick that day. They watched Lion King together and fell asleep.

Rusty's sister Rachel and her boys, Garret and Carson, came up from Arizona during their spring break in March. While they visited, some of us went to the Hogle Zoo. It was fun to see all the animals.

Everyday that it's warm Claire and I go on a walk. She wants to be outside all the time!

She likes the Palmer's little lawn mower.

Claire's new favorite activity is to spread the hot pads and dish cloths all over the floor. Sometimes it keeps her entertained for a long time, and that makes me very happy.

She loved this box. Claire played with it for several days.

Claire and Makenna wore their matching sweaters together. They both were not the most photogenic this day.

Hailey took Claire on some rides down the neighbor's driveway on her swivel scooter. It was a fun time!
