Spring 2017

This spring was a great time. Here are some pictures that I took and want to remember.
Claire went through a stage of tucking in her pajama shirt. I always got a kick out of it because she was serious about it.
6 week old baby Nora with a little smile.
One day Makenna came down to our house so Cara could go to a work visit. Lily and Claire loved playing with her.
Rusty had spring break the first week of April. One day we went to a park up Provo Canyon. It was fun to enjoy the spring weather outside.
Girl cousins at Trevor's wedding. Cara, me, Kristen, Alyssa, Daniel, Nicole, and Kayla.
Baby Nora and Rusty.
Lily posing on the rocking chair.
Claire and Lily really like playing with my scarves.
Silly girls wearing Rusty's jacket together.
The day before out Easter party at Grandpa Wilson's, we went on a hike on the mountains in Draper to a big bridge. It was fun to go with Alyssa and Nicole and her kids.
Lily on the hike.
Cara, Kristen, and me on the bride.
All the hiking children.
Lily, me, Nora, and Claire.
My parents with the Salt Lake Valley behind them.
My mom, Kristen holding Lily. me carrying Nora, Claire and Emma.
Nicole, Daniel, Alyssa, my dad, Makenna, and Cara carrying Connor.
Claire during our after hike candy time.
Rusty won the March Madness tournament at Summit!
Lily, Nora, and Claire. They wanted a picture by Nora.
Lily hiding behind the pillows.
My birthday! Rusty got me seasons 4, 5, and 6 of Full House!
Claire looked so peaceful when she was sleeping this night. I had to take a picture of it so I could remember when she is loud and wild.
Cute Nora!
Nora is 3 months old!
Lily was very proud of herself because she carefully laid out her animals on the pillow and covered them with a blanket.
Smiley Nora. 3 months old.
This was back in May during the first swim on the summer.
Claire is getting great at writing her name. She wrote this with chalk.
Happy baby Nora. 3 1/2 months old.
Nora is a stiff baby just like Claire was.
Claire learned how to ride a bike with training wheels. This day Claire went inside and came out with this outfit on. She said it was her riding outfit.
This picture was on June 2nd. It was the first night that Nora wasn't bundled when she slept. It was a rough adjustment for her, Rusty, and me. She liked being bundled, but she was getting too hot and sweaty when she slept. Also, just a week or two before this we moved her from the cradle to the crib.
Three cute girls. They often ask to hold Nora. Claire is especially good at trying to cheer Nora up when she is sad and I am busy doing something else.
We started potty training Lily Monday May 22. I wasn't planning on doing it then after our terrible experience potty training Claire. But Lily had started to tell us that she went pee and needed a new diaper. We decided it was worth trying since she wanted to new diaper every hour. The first day she only had two accidents and after that she did great! She got the hang of it really fast. I was pleasantly surprised. It gives me hope for potty training Nora.
One of the first days of potty training we did find this in the toilet. After that she only got a few squares to wipe.
Lily with her sticker chart. She filled it up with all the times she went to the bathroom.
Nora loves laying in the bath water. She doesn't splash much, but she likes to lay there.
My parents got a blow up pool. One day they pumped it up and we all swam.
Curvy baby sleeping.
Lily wearing the red shoes and my shoes.
Nora is 4 months old! She is very skinny. Here are her stats from the doctor:
Weight: 10 lbs. 5 oz. (.66 percentile)
Length: 24 in. (33 percentile)
Head: 16 in. (54.5 percentile)
We went to a Beach Boy impersonator concert in June. It was perfect because this spring Claire and Lily have been obsessed with the Beach Boys. Starting back in March we started to listen to them, and then that's all the wanted to listen to . We went to the concert with my dad, Kristen, and Makenna. It was a rockin' good time.
All three girls on Claire's bed.

Capitol Reef

My family went on a very fun trip to Capitol Reef back on Saturday May 13th - Monday the 15th. We saw a lot of great things. I hadn't been to Capitol Reef since I was in elementary, and Rusty had never been before. We stayed at a cabin in Grover. It was very nice because we could all stay together, and we could eat and make most our meals there.
Family picture at the visitor center.
Cara, my mom, me, and Nora at Hickman Bridge.
Everyone at Hickman Bridge.
Claire was a great hiker. She had the most energy in the group. Lily did great for a little while but then had to be carried.
Happy Nora at the cabin.
By the cabin there was a little lake with two paddle boats in it. It was a fun time paddling around the lake.
Cara, Lily (is hidden), Kristen, Claire, and Makenna.
My dad, Lily, Rusty, and Claire.
Me, Makenna, and Chris.
My parents taking the three grand girls out on a ride.

My mom got the girls matching nightgowns. They were very excited to wear them.
Little girl sleepover.
On Sunday after church we went on a ride past Boulder. It was very scenic and pretty. Unfortunately Lily got carsick and threw up two times during the ride. We still got to see some lovely lookout points even though it was very windy.
On Monday we went back to Capitol Reef to see some more of the sites.
Grandma and Lily had matching polka dot sunglasses!
Claire and the sign.
We drove down to the bottom of the park where it turns into a dirt road at the end. It was a canyon we were driving through, and the red rocks on each side of the car was beautiful. We then hiked the Capitol Gorge Trail.

At the end of the Capitol Gorge Trail my mom stayed with the three girls to rest and have snacks so the rest of us could go on a little extra trail to the Tanks.

I had a great time on our trips, and my girls really loved it. I am very glad that we got to spend so much time together as a family.
