A couple of weeks ago we went down to Escalante with the Mendenhall family to go camping. It was a great time! When we first got there it was super windy, but after that it was really nice. We had a big pavilion at our campsite that kept us cool when the sun was out. We went on a 9 mile hike to the Golden Cathedral. We also went on a little hike called Willis Creek that has a trail that followed this little river, and sometimes we had to jump over it. It was pretty fun. Here are some pictures from our trip!
We celebrated our anniversary by going to church, watching the Jazz game, going on a beautiful walk, watching Girls Just Want to Have Fun, and eating a one year old cake in our pajamas. It sure had a lot of frosting.
We celebrated my birthday last weekend. I was so lucky because I got 3 separate parties. Friday night we got to go out to eat with my family at Zupas. It sure was tasty! Cara gave me an awesome Jazz shirt, and my parents gave me some piano books to play on our keyboard. Saturday we had another celebration with Rusty's family. Then on Sunday we got to party again with my grandparents and aunt. Wahoo! What a good time. Rusty was so great. I had class until 6 on my actual birthday, and he surprised me with dinner he had cooked and cupcakes! It was his first attempt at cupcakes, and I must say he was successful. My cousins, the Burgers, came over and enjoyed them with us. Rusty gave me a shoe rack and fridge magnets for my birthday. Some people think a those are boring birthday gifts, but it just goes to show how well Rusty knows me. I love being organized.
